Granny's Trunk

Today I worked with more antique or vintage type of kit from Plain Digital Wrapper called Grany's Trunk.
It's was part of CT duties and I wasn't quite sure about the kit.  I probably wouldn't pick it to work with, but I'm glad I did.  It's a great set of elements to use with older pictures of parents or grandparents.   I'm luckly to have some childhood photos of my mom with her parents (my grandparents) and some pictures of my grandparents before they passed.  I've been meaning to make some layouts with those, but haven't got around to doing it. Till today.  Here are the two layouts I did in Memory of my dearly departed family:

And here is the preview of the kit:

To get it head over to the Plain Digital Wrapper Store.

Puddle Jumpers

Check out the layout, isn't this great??

I also have some layouts made by other CT members for you to get a better idea on what you can do with them.  Aren't those fabulous???

If you like those layouts you should definitely get the kit. Just head over to Ginger Dcraps shope.  The individual minis are only $2.00 per piece.  Talk about great value...

New Layouts

It's been a few days since I posted, but I've been having problems with my internet connection.  Since that last big snow storm last week, my internet has been painfully slow and finally came to a girding halt this morning.  I had a technician take a look and make necessary adjustments to the line.  It works like a charm right now.
Not being able to download new stuff, I worked with some of the things I already had.  Like SammyD's challenges.  Below is the Outside my window, monthly challenge...  The object of this is to take a picture of the same things every month to show the change.  Right now my yard looks like this: melting snow, mud puddles and bare garden...... kids love splashing in the standing water....

The second challenge is a card template.  This was so easy and enjoyable to do.  I did an everyday no occasion card.  Just a reminder to live for the day and enjoy the simple things....

Welcome to the Garden

This has been a very creative day for me.  I just finished 2 layouts for  Welcome to the Garden kit by Tatti Pitti Design and I signed up for a challenge with Royanna.  It's a colective kit making project.  There are 22 participants and we're going to make some papers and elements every day for a week and put them together in colab kit.  I'm very curious and excited about this challenge, so come by and check out on how I'm doing. I'll be posting my progress here.
Now here is the preview of  "Welcome to the Garden"  by Tatti Pitti Design. It's a wonderful, happy kit with lots of flowers, birds and soft palet papers:

Here are my two layouts.  I chose to do last years berry picking.  This kit feels so summery.

Here is the link if you would like to purchase the kit: You can find it at SDK Store for only $2.00.  So hurry this price won't last.

JenniferZ Designs

Today I got 2 great kits from JenniferZ Designs.  Beautiful boy and What's the big Idea.
I just love both of them.  Check out the previews:

Here is the Beautiful Boy. Lots of bright colored paper and wonderful elements:

And this is my LO.  I had so many different ideas of what to do with it.  You can make a number of layouts and make every one of them completely different. I chose to go with Story Time for now, but I'll work on more layouts later.

And here is the second kit.  What's the big idea.  It made me think of my crazy son Adrian, duct taping baby Zach to the kitchen counter.  Got to admit, kinda clever.  Zach was a sqirmy little thing and Adrian needed to make a sandwich.... lol....
Here is the preview and the layout:

The awesome thing about this kit is that is nonspecific, you can use it for any kind of layout.  Science fair, goofy face photos, or any kind of kids play stuff... Check it out HERE. This kit is only $2.00 right now and can be used with any other kit and in so many ways. So what are you waiting for???

Life 101

Hello, are you seeing signs of spring yet???
Depending on where you are it may be more or less spring-y.  Here the snow is finally melting.  My husband cleared away tones of it by a loader.  He must have taken away 300 to 400 loads.  I started counting one day but gave up after it got too high.
He cleared an area around our new home (read: crawl space and first floor) so we can start to build again.  Have you heard that Alberta has 4 seasons not quite the same as the rest of the world.  It's ALMOST WINTER, WINTER, STILL WINTER and CONSTRUCTION.... LOL
and that's what we are entering now  - Construction Season.

While my hubby is doing some serious work I'm on my PC playing with a new kit.  I can never wait to start to work on the kit.  I always have to use it as soon as I download it.

This time I got a very versatile kit from a MooTwo designer called LIFE 101.  It sounds like a college course... lol... should have more books and that sort of elements.....  It's actually very nice and colorful kit.  Bright and happy shades with lots of pattern paper.  It was so easy to work with.  I loved everything about it, except that I recolored a picture frame, well technically I just lightened it.  I felt that the lighter color made the picture stand out more.  I will have to talk to the designer Rose Made Designs about that. I didn't realize that it was not allowed until I posted it.

I'm kinda long winded today, so without further adue, here is the preview of the wonderful kit followed by the layouts I made with it:

Hope you like my layouts and will check out the kit at MooTwo Store you really can use it in so many ways.  Just add other elements to create a different themes.
